OUR
YELLOW BUTTERFLY

We see each of our participants as a yellow butterfly. Our hope is that each yellow butterfly can find a home in the creative expression and freedom found in dance.

Our first yellow butterfly, Katie Beth Carter (KB), shared a love of dance during her time with us. KB was killed in a car accident in 2016, however her love for dance and education lives on. In her memory, House of Yellow Butterflies was created to give back to those less fortunate in hopes of not only changing their lives, but our community as well. Our first educational dance class was taught in Tomas Borge, Nicaragua at the Katie Beth Carter Educational Institute. We hope to bring our experience and knowledge back to our local community to impact lives through the magic of dance.
